So looks like the house is gonna fall through. (unless this m-fer does the right thing and fixes the septic)....

But on the bright side, ill be able to make this.

So... I got that going for me

not that you don't already know this, but don't touch that house until the septic is fixed. the buyer has to fix it.

but hey, now you can race. and say hi to your old fork.

i wonder, will there be anyone at this race NOT from mtbnj.com?

Any whispers on when the course will be leaked? Would love to head up there if the trails are OK

After sleeping on it, I've come to the realization that there are far worse positions to be in than trying to buy a house.
If it doesn't work out then it wasn't meant to be. Ill find another house.
And this race was apparently meant to be...

Definitely worse positions. You could be in the house with a $40,000 bill to fix the crapper 😀

a notte from the "mayor"

and a note from the "Mayor"

To all SSAP entrants...latest update on the course consists of good news and bad news. Although this spring's conditions are by far the worst we've seen at Stewart, we have set the SSAP course. After many hours of chain sawing, and dragging branches, and cursing the mud bogs, we have settled on 12.5 miles of the best singletrack, including some new stuff you have not previously seen. Now the bad news...due to a minor conflict with another user group on the same day, in the interest of good will, we have had to forego 1.5 miles of the course, making the race 25 miles instead of 28!!! Where's the bad news you say? Actually there is none...the course is challenging as it stands...we have some cool new singletrack (dry) for your S/S pleasure, and "Hawiian Mike" promises to have his shirt dry cleaned right before the race! We are also hoping that "Norm" of MTBNJ fame will be gracious enough to accept our offer to be the coin toss host to determine whether NY or NJ goes first. Although NJ had the fastest time in sport class last year, we felt it would promote more good will, letting NJ make the call...plus we didn't know what else to do with that left over Homer simpson medal!

that depends on if you are prepared for all that comes with it! with the coin comes great responsibility!!!
bearers of this coin have been known to consume dubious amounts of hoppy beverages and take part in strange "training" rituals!

Wait, its a double-sided trick coin, so its just for show, right?

If Norm is unable to fulfill his tossing duties, I can get one of my kids to do it! (They will demand more stickers!)

Hey, speaking of, how about a kids race?!

I could of sworn that the deal was whoever posted fastest time (NY or NJ sport) was to go first this year. I think it's only fair NY has to work it's way through our molasses ass's this year...😀
