unfortunately 90% of my flights are with them due to the Newark hub thing

It's a direct flight. The only things I found leaving today will arrive late in the afternoon Friday.

Excellent! The last thing you need is to have to make a connection and to be delayed getting out of Newark and miss a connection. Safe travels!
 
More clusterfuckage. Flight#2 was cancelled this morning. So at 4am I was on the phone trying to get me a flight out of this god forsaken state!! Found a flight to Jackson Hole, swapped around my car rental, made plan to get my bike to Island Park from the hotel. It's going to be tight as shit but I should be able to pull it off.

Riding my bike will be the easiest part of this by far.

Who knew the “ultra endurance” moniker would apply to travel portion of the event.... at this point you’re overdue to catch a break.

You need to take all this effort and go to the Caribbean or at least somewhere warmer to ride your bike. There are destinations right now that have cycling where you don't have to push your bike 😉

Meh. If I wanted easy I'd do the NUE series.
 
ha, with your track record your car would break down on the way to W101, you'd have to get a ride from some hillbilly who would steal your tent and your food and you'd realize it 1 hour before the start, then you'd miss the start trying to find food and do the race anyway but not get scored because you missed a turn
