Going Long and Hard.

I have the first generation Fly UL1 ( non-bikepack ) for a long time and am looking forward to using the Copper Spur UL1 bikepack I just purchased ( on sale now )

The oldest version of fly had numerous annoyances. Needs MANY stakes to have proper interior volume, the entrance involves crawling over your pillow and the pole elastic gave up the ghost after many years.

I also have the mesh 3-wire Bivy and I prefer that when it's going to be clear. Side or top entry so it's really great to get in/out of when your legs are toast. I might use that one for May's ride.

I used the CS UL1 BP on the Florida Coast to Coast trip and it worked great. I just got the footprint for my longer trip mostly to cover the vestibule. I found it was a little annoying to deal with getting in and out without somewhere clean and dry to kneel.
