Does anyone know what mile marker the aid stations are at? Also, are drop bags allowed at any or all of the aid stations?

Yes, I'd like to hear more about this as well. Can't believe it's next weekend already!? I haven't seen anything on the website. Unless someone else chimes in, I'd email the Promotor: gunter@wildcatepicevents.com.

Wowie...super creepy. That aid station stuff was not there last night or I am totally losing my mind. Thx Kirt.

I downloaded the map PDF and it shows exactly where they are on the map. Good luck

You in???

I was thinking about it all year.. I think there are too many roads for the SS. Its not gonna be "fun" gearing for this plus I don't want to burn out this early in the season.. I don't have the road miles in like last year.. Good luck to you and all the other homies doing this! Im gonna try Iron Hill instead for the 4 hour race this Sunday.😡

Shorter term forecast has it a bit warmer, at least we won't be freezing and wet. Just cold and wet and loaded like a Sherpa for the first 53 miles.

Post Race Report

Decided to wait til next year due to the forecasted rain storms? Anyone have a race report? How did it go?

Dude, It was atrocious. The conditions were just stupid. The mud, the standing water....awful. The Apple Orchard section was torture. I never want to see another apple orchard again!

It was still a good race though. I finished the 100 miler without any major issues. Saw a lot of mechanicals out there. No idea what place I got though. I went from the finish line to my tent and crashed. I'll write something later. Still need to clean up - I camped a second night and just got home!

Very muddy

I did the 100 also and finished in about 12 hours. I was riding SS and expected to walk on a couple of the uphills, but the single track was so muddy I ended up with probably 3 miles of hike a bike on perfectly level ground and in the apple orchards. Lots of areas had mud 4 inches deep which was essentially unrideable. This was my first ever try at a 100 so my goal was just to finish, so I am real happy with that!

Epic is a good word. For my fist NUE race I couldn't have picked a tougher one. As Capedoc said, the conditions were deplorable...equal to or worse than Tuscarora last year. The course is awesome when its dry. It was painful but still fun. Rode with Kirt M. the entire time. I ended up 26th in the open. I'll write a full report later.

I had 2 flats, kinked chain and broken derailleur. I ended up having to cut the ride short and taking the Wallkill rail trial back. Still ended up with 80 miles.

I kinda want to do this again next year to get the 100 in and hope for better conditions and no mechanicals.
