Rei!!!!!!!!

Did anyone go today for the grand opening? I'm gonna head down Sat. morning, maybe an hour or two early to see if the line's long. Wouldn't hurt to be one of the first 200 guests to get the free water bottle with a gift card inside.

you and I think alike..unfortunately i have a job so i couldnt go today

I drove by right at 9am just out of curiosity. The parking lot was completely packed so I decided to not even bother stopping. I think you'll have to be there quite early to be in the first 200 or 250.

Went by on Wed evening looking for winter stuff. The parking lot was empty. Was not impressed with the selection or prices.

Went there last week. They have a good selection of camelbak accessories, inculding the insulated tube that I could not find anywhere else. Also, they are offering a big discount on a few Marin Mount Vision bikes!!!! They did not have them on the floor, but advised that they still had some that they could get in the store at the sale price.

hhmm..if you were there an hr after opening and they still had the bottles, i guess its a good chance that if i get there early ill get at least something....id say a 15 minute drive is worth a nalgene....plus i want to check out the store anyways, its closer than both EMS and Campmor

I went here in Monday and asked to have a bike jersey I saw online delivered to the store so I could try it on before before I bought it. They said I had to buy it first before it was delivered to the store. Am I out of line for thinking that was rediculous? If they had it delivered to the store and I didn't want the item the worst that would happen is they could put it on display. All the years I've been shopping at REI I haven't had any issues so I will get over it. I did find this policy a little off though.

from my experience with working retail..anytime we had to special order something, it had to be paid for. I guess you could always return it if it didnt fit.

seems like normal protocol to me

Went there last Saturday. Not as engaging as Campmor IMO. I have bought stuff from REI.com, but things are a little expensive at the store. Last year I bought my Topeak Rear DTX for $70 bux, and now, the same one, at the store is $98.00. Vast selection of products, but pricy. Knowledgeable sales guys, but I still feel at home at Campor.
