Lance

Well since the general sentiment seems to be that all of the people who are ready to testify against him are liars, why do you think that is? Did he piss that many people off that badly that they would want to ruin his life and legacy? If it is all about money and someone is paying them to do it, who do you think it is and why?

Because instead of getting life sentences they are only getting six month bans.

Lance has a wheaties box, etc... the others went back to leading the A rides out of their LBS ???

...long rant snipped...

...has built-up over the last bunch of years....

were not rewarded for being a team player.

If the USADA doesn't get enough publicity in the news they'll lose their funding. I would tell them to F off too.

I don’t know what to make of the legal process, but I will say this… The people representing the case against Lance are completely failing in the court of public opinion.
They just created a martyr. A completely scientific approach (consisting of reading my facebook updates) shows that the majority of people think he is getting screwed. Maybe they just love the “Lance Story” too much to believe otherwise.

This is what happens when people are JEALOUS ..

Look at all the doping in all the sports that has been going on since god knows when . It happens , and will still keep happening . Were all human and this is nothing new . Regardless if he did or didnt i still feel something like this is way too extreme which will cause emotional and mental stress on someone . Its too much for so many years to be battered and questioned , etc .

Even when your doping you still need to bust your ass and work hard , its not a magical juice that all of a sudden makes you super human, it takes work for it to be somewhat effective .

lance was never caught.

do i think he cheated? nope.

do i think he used some performance enhancing substances? absolutely...

...just like every other goddamn cyclist in the Tour and every other professional athlete anywhere.

if they want to make a statement, strip EVERYONE of their titles back to the dudes that were puffing on cigarettes after the climbs to open their lungs.

I'm embarrassed to live in a country where this is allowed to happen.

-Jim.

couldnt agree more. I am outraged that our federal government spent MY TAX DOLLARS on this witch hunt.

do I think he probably doped?...yes.

would I have a problem with this if a non-governmental cycling organization pursued this.....not really. still a witch hunt (since 99% of his competitors doped too) but at least its not my $ and my gov. doing it.

I just cant believe our Federal government: (1) is involved in this issue at all;
and (2) likely spent MILLIONS to disgrace AN AMERICAN HERO.

do you think Britain would spend MILLIONS on a multi-year effort to disgrace Bradley Wiggins or the French to disgrace one of their cycling stars?.....Hell, no!!!!

our Federal government is an embarrassment.

i'm far more embarrassed to be living in a world world where politicians are paid under the table and fcuk over thousands of people on the daily.

some dude on a bike that helps people with cancer is the least of our worries.

Agreed with most people's point that Lance is not getting the fair shake here. But does anyone actually believe that Lance did not dope? Personally, I'm of the opinion that 100% of all modern pro riders dope or have doped at some point in their lives.

Lance, his fellow riders, and his fans know he won those 7 TDF titles. He knows it takes bigger man to walk away from a fight, and in a year from now, none of this will matter.

Exactly my thought. BTW, this whole thing does not have anything to do with his example in fighting cancer and his charitable work on that aspect. Some people cite that as in "how could you doubt a man that has done so much good". I think (the same) people can do very good things and very bad too.

Not only that, but they basically told a Congressman to go scratch.

FWIW, I'm no Lance nuthugger, but the methods I hear the USADA has been using are utterly unacceptable at best. Either enforce fairly or not at all.😡

On point. There was an article (last year?) - think it was in Bicycling that showed all of the top riders from the TDF from Lance's win forward and the vast majority failed tests and were banned at some point. Bottom line - if the whole Peloton was taking - then it's an equalizer.

Good for Lance to say enough is enough - he's an American Hero and a motivator for cancer survivors everywhere to "LiveStrong"..

I think I'll dedicate my new CX bike to him.......

Whether Lance is *really* guilty or not is arbitrary at this point. It is about the actors and process.

He knows this. By not fighting it, it allows the debate and "court of public opinion" to put its crosshairs on the USADA. Given the situation I think this was very well played by the yellow wristband dude.

If somebody put forth proof that Lance gamed the tests somehow and the yanking of the titles came from the sanctioning body (UCI), then I'd be just fine with Mr. Armstrong losing his titles (though sad). So let's see it...I'm waiting...

This make national news and is every where and I hear about it at the gym, trail Barbara shop..... But the fact that we have our troops losing there life is just in the faint back ground. Lance possible doping 10 yrs ago 30 minute tv special. 12 troops killed by bomb helping other countries. 45 second spot!
So know that they are done with Lance, what next? Yankees have to give back all there world series titles. Arnold has to give his Olympia title! I am fed up with the news And what this government does. It out of my control and they are out of control. Don't worry we are fixing the economy by legalizing illegals. Canada here I come, please have a home and a French translator ready for me, I also have a child that needs to go to school, and I will also be needing medical care. I will be getting a job making cash and paying in cash. I will not bother to fill out the proper paper work to gain legal residence, cause the form are hard to read in French. Thank you
