Got out today for my second ride on my ebike. It's a Cube Hybrid 160 TM. Thanks to ebarker9 who looked it over for me after I put it together since it was the first time I'd ever done that. 25 miles in just under 3.5 hours. Gotta say I was wiped when I got home. Try to use eco or tour most of the time, but readily admit when I was on the powerline section of patriots path coming up from Clyde Potts that I struggled and had to get off a few times. It's a lot of fun and there is no way I'd be able to be out there that long on a non-ebike. So I'm hoping having fun keeps me out there which will help me get in better shape. Only problem I had was a ton of pedal strikes but I have so much to learn.

Saw an E-moto at Chimney Rock on Thursday. Was with Iggy and Bruno and it came flying up a hill and right passed us and amazingly he didn't have to pedal at all.

Today I took my buddy out for 35 miles in the sourlands on his ebike. This guy would never have completed this ride on a regular bike.
He is super motivated to put the time in and he’s making huge progress. I’m so excited for him.

My experience has been similar. Occasionally, I ride with a guy who now rides an ebike due to a knee issue. He puts in the time and enjoys the sport but without the ebike he simply would not be a part of it anymore. It's actually fun as hell to watch him attempt crazy hard uphill lines on that thing.
