The county budget is stretched crazy thin after the Irene mess. I think so far this year the Saddle River has flooded the park 3 times.

i know the budget cuts are going crazy as my town library is closed on sundays now due to budget cuts. today i just went to overpeck with the road bike hopefully get over to ringwood later in the week. tos seems to drain faster then hi mtn.

was talking to my neighbor yesterday that always sees me running at town track. he mentioned garrett mtn, hadn't been up there for a while so took the road bike up there today (no mtb allowed)

today they were cleaning up the debris. it didn't seem like a lot except on my last lap, i heard a chain saw, as i passed i saw they were cutting down a large tree over my head that could've really hurt me:popcorn:

this pic is from a couple of summers ago just after they refurbished the lambert tower? (used to think it was lambert castle but the actual castle is just below this tower)

i never heard of the place before, where the ride started (wood dale county park), but we had a run in with a dog walker refused to clean up after his pup, then on 10 oclock news (channel 5) it was reported that an elderly person ran over 3 pedestrians

today did weights, swam laps and did river road sans alpine climb, probably run 5-k later

mtbed 14 miles at hartshorne huber today. then ran 14 laps (5k) at town track, last lap under 6 min/mile pace:popcorn:

pretty sure this is huber where i mtbed 9 of the 14 today. i liked it there as it has more frequent climbs and descents then hartshone (longer climbs/decents)

great weather...

did weights and swam laps this morning. then road 15 miles at overpeck today

much slower today on this no breakfast bonk ride 152.8 lbs when i awoke, 151 and change after ride, my lowest weight in over 10 years
