I just realized I started a thread for a race that isn't until mid November. And its August. My bad....let's forget about this one and dust it off in a few months

Its not until November, but there are already 72 racers signed up. I have heard nothing but good things about this one.

Curious, what's the point of having cat 1,2,and 3 for something like this? I guess the higher classed racers are obviously supposed to complete more laps?

I had a thread for this but it got lost... Anyways I'm gonna reg on wednesday, the race is 3 days after 31st B-day. BTW I started the SSAP thread in january

I guess it's so they can give out the prizes to the respective Cats?

I just went to pencil this into my calendar and it says "Revolution Anniversary" on that day. That must be some kind of sign but I don't know what.

They break the start down between the classes. I don't know how happy the pros would be with a cat 3 rider in the mix with them, and I don't know how long a cat3 rider would last mixed in with the pros. The fireroad dash is about a hlaf mile long then its 10 miles of 100% single track

Yeah, I'm one of the 72 already signed up. Saturday starts training for turning myself inside out😀.

If it is so much single track did you find yourself stuck without the ability to pass a lot?

Ha! I found myself mixed in with the pros/cat 1 on the start, so I wasn't doing the passing. Its wide enough to pass, not fire road wide. Averaged around 3-4' cut IIRC

And this is the day before my 4...ahh forget it. Looks like a good way to spend a bday on a SS for 6hrs...

This sounds like fun. Nothing going on that weekend, might need to make a return to mountain biking?

-Jim.

Funny, I was just saying to Dr. Rob today how you at least had enough sense to stay off the mountain bike the rest of the year. 🙂

That's also the MAC Long Island 2 day race weekend.
