Pace... What is "your" pace? Riding for only a year my pace is not the best yet not the worst.

Group ride.... Is there a rain date for the planned ride Sat? Weather Iis callingffor rain.

Thanks, I work close so I thought that 5 minute ride there would be better than an hour+ to any other destination.

Will keep an eye out for them. Got to get more rocky and technical riding in, Mt Creek was my first race ever and it was fun but wasn't ready for the terrain at all. I did finish, last to cross finish line but finished. Doing again if they have it just want to be a little more prepared this year...

Once the weather breaks will there be any group rides? Or is there any person who knows the park that willing to meet and show a beginner around. Want to get out and get a little more time on the rocks. Other parks in need of a guide include anything up north...all the hot spots...JH, Wawayanda...

The frame in question is a Norco Nitro. With all of today's technology there be an easy way of making a hole and still hold its rigidity. But thanks for all the information.

Can a carbon frame be drilled to accept a direct mount fd?

To Jshort, after seeing your bike Saturday got me to thinking..do I want another 30lb bike? No I don't. Due to my weight, LBS and forums seem to only suggest steel due to my weight. Don't know if you remember my giant friend but he rides like a little guy hard and fast and hasn't broke anything...
