I wish it wasnt so early too. one of the guys could only make it if we went that early. if you don't make it, Im sure we will have rides to that park posted again on the meetup real soon

I might be interested in this. It is kinda early though, takes over an hour to get there. Will RSVP once I decide. I haven't been on the MTB since like the end of October. Much needed !

Time changed to 9 am 😉

I usually like to start at 7 or 8a. It's an hour ride from my house, but well worth it. I might see you guys there at 9a. Rocky point entrance? Usually start from Buttermilk valley. What's the difference, is rocky a better starting point?

jmartz - I just mean know how the shifters work and be able to peddle for more than 10minutes at a time. I only said no beginners to exclude the person who just bought his 1st bike lol. I wouldnt worry about the climbs too much. Leader always waits at the top

odia - Ive never started from rocky mnt before. I only know that getting up the big hill at the end of the ride will probably suck.

It's winter ... rides aren't supposed to start til at least 10.

I respectfully disagree 🙂
The earlier the better, no matter what time of year. (I also have entirely too much on my plate on any given day so I have to fit it in whenever I can) 😉
As long as you dress for the temps, you're good to go. :getsome:

Agreed with Mike. Baselayer and Long sleeve jersey. Good for up to 20 degree weather. It will be around 40 at 9am so thats perfect for mnt biking since we'll warm up on the first uphill.

the winter is the best time to ride.

the problem is rarely not wearing enough, the trick is always not wearing too much.

I am in love with my black perl izumi baselayer. Make sure that your baselayers and everything else is tight around your body because it needs to be for better sweat managment and warmth.
