Anyone have info on white clay in delaware... Heard it was a fast place and want to know more before I go driving there...

There are prob 2 threads on this place. They are serious about wet conditions and suggest a guide cause the place is big (its actually 3 parks) but well worth the ride. There is even video of the skills section in the media room and on the youtube

White clay march 28th

Weather pending, We wanna ride white clay, Matt and Chris, Looking to have a guide come with. If anyone has GPS directions that would be great... my phone# 908 433 5504 for anyone interested in showing us around.

Just got back from WCC/Middle Run. With the exception of a few ruts, a few wet spots, and a few down trees the trails are dry and ninja fast. If anyone was considering a road trip this weekend White Clay is ready for you.

White Clay/Middle Run is definitely the funnest trail network this side of Raystown. I have a hard time leaving there if my legs still work because I want to just keep going back for more.

He's not kidding. By the time he's done my legs are about ready to fall off.😉

I went in August and someone in the parking lot just offered to take us around. It was way better than trying to figure out the map ourselves. You should post on the forum for the club that maintains their trails, and see if anyone would take you around. I can't remember their name now. I think it's trail-something. You could prob google it.

Park at middle run off of possum hollow road. if you are riding with a gps and a map you'll have no problems finding your way around. there are no bad trails here. everything is good.

you should check here for trail conditions before making the trek down. it is NOT a good place to ride when it's wet and is a little slower to drain than some other places. That's where the clay part comes in.

This is one of the parking lots. Bring a few dollar bills, because all of the lots are 'fee' lots, where you put a couple bucks with your tag# in an unmanned mailbox. Every so often, the Ranger comes by and tickets the cars that havnt paid. Last I was there, 3 years ago or so, it was $3.

Or, if you're poor, you can park a mile or two away and bike to the entrance.

Right at that lot, you can go three ways... Two trails on that side of the road, and one on the other. I used to like to dive right into the woods on the parking lot side of the road, and you (can) come out through the corn field by the parking lot, down a wicked fast section with a couple nice dirt-bump jumps in it. Thats my suggestion.

As of last Saturday it is $3.00 for DE residents, and $6.00 for out of state folk.

I plan to be here Saturday noon-ish after the DE Uni graduation...
exact time TBD...
Post if you want to join. A guide wouldn't hurt either 🙂
