Which Allamuchy?

I'm heading up to the Poconos in October and was going to stop here on my way out. Which of the Allamuchies should I ride? I'm a beginner to intermediate rider, used to riding at 6 mile, Ralph Stover, Mercer and Core Creek but don't mind a challenge.

Any favorite trails you would recommend? I'll have 3 hours to half a day to spend and will likely have 1 or 2 people with me.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

If you have 3 hours, I'd do the full DP/Stephens combo. Matty does a great loop with the 2 of these. If you have a GPS:

I'd park right in the middle off Waterloo Rd, near the JORBA fest field. Do DP first, then head over to Stephens.

You may also want to post up in a few months and see if anyone is around to lead you around if you don't have GPS.

I will say to do Deer Park judging by where you are coming from. Easy off and on of rt.80. If you plan it I may be able to give you a proper, lord knows it won't be the first 😀. Send me a PM and we can can set up a time and day...

Nice, I like the idea of the combo. I'll have to see how my schedule pans out but I may take you up on the guided tour. Have to be in Albrightsville some time late afternoon to early evening so I should have time to explore a little.

I'll post again when it gets a little closer. Thanks all!

Which is best for a beginner, deer park or stephens. Im actually pretty good technically im just more of a beginner fitness wise with my cardio.

Where is the best place to park at Allamuchy for best trail access? I'm an experienced rider just picked up a Mary SS. I'd like to get to Allamuchy this week or next. Any recommendations?
