Barton run @ black run 8/27

Ernie and I went out this morning to do some dam work. Barton Run feeds off a bog, then narrows into a small stream. A lot of dead branches, twigs, grass, leaves. built up so much, that the water was going up on our trail. So knee deep Ernie goes. Me, I worked the side lines with my poll. Between the two of us, we got a lot of junk out, and away from, our path. Thanks Ernie for your help this morning.

Large tree down on start of the trail. Cut a by-pass around it. The by-pass will become the norm soon. The short road between Dragonfly & The Street with no name, has a low spot that's always filled with water, we go around it. The go around had a tree fall into it. I worked it so you just go around the tree like its not even there. Another tree on the other side of Kettle Run Rd. on Swamp-Ridge Rd. is down, and cleared.

Took two pvc pipes, and jamed them into the dam. This is working for now. Did some more work next to the dump. .25 mile is marked, not cleared, but you can make out a trail. I need my GPS guy to get me in the right direction.

Last Wed. night, one bridge was tossed into the water. Fixed that today. Nailed it down onto the wood below it. Finished cut & marking the new trail out by the old dump. This will need a lot of wheels to ground to ware in.
