This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

Got on the bus this morning, and the driver had a mask and some plastic covering her face,
surgical gloves, and had set up a basket with a liner so she didn't have to touch tickets.
That was a little discomforting, like, wait, am *I* doing this wrong?!?

At work, non-essential international travel is cancelled.

At home, SiL's middle school has already been setting up conferencing software for distance learning.

I was in LA, San Francisco and Seattle 2 weeks ago traveling with a guy who was in singapore the week before. Yesterday had lunch with a guy who was in Japan 2 weeks ago and could see the Diamond Princess from his hotel. I'll be taking 6 domestic flights next week. Keeping my fingers crossed and also covered in hand sanitizer.........

Google Cloud next was just converted to a virtual confernece. 25K people went to it last year. SF first week of April.

The woman who sits next to me at work left for Singapore last Friday morning. Fairly certain mgmt is gonna tell her to self quarantine herself for 3 weeks when she gets back.

Because of my background people are constantly asking me the best way to prevent getting it, which mask to buy, etc. I'm tired of telling them to wash hands, stop nose picking, being nasty, etc. At this point, I tell everyone the best protection they can buy is a plastic bag. Put it over your head and make sure you tighten it real good around your neck, so no air gets in.

Bro. Bed bugs are disgusting. About 15 years ago, in the apartment I was living in with a shared washer / dryer area, I got bit a few times. I think they’re comparable to allaire’s chiggers. Itchy AF and lasts for over a week.
If my shit got infested I think I may have had a nervous break down. You have to burn EVERYTHING.
