The new bridge

I did it!

I rode the bridge! woohoo! It was more fun going "down" than up. first run was scary as all heck. Thought I was gonna barf and go cross eyed 😀, second time (down) was almost fun. Couple more times and I think I will actually LIKE it. It helps to follow someone...

JDog, I rode 6MR on Friday late afternoon. Hadn't read this post, so the new bridge was a total surprise...what an awesome surprise at that....simply fantastic. It's been said many times before, but your work there goes above and beyond...the trails flow perfectly, and you and your crew have done an amazing job at controlling mud/erosion.

I also noticed that the western end of the red (near Canal) has had some nice work done on it...some of the eroded/off camber sections are re-routed, and the large pipe at the bottom of that nasty dip makes it possible now to keep your speed up sufficient to clear the opposite hill on a singlespeed (previously I couldn't do it without gears). Only thing that pipe needs is a bit more fill on top of it, or maybe build a small up-n-over mini bridge, so that the dirt on top of the pipe doesn't require continual topping-up?

Nice work man!!! Thanks again for all you do!!

I had mentioned this the other day about red. While, perhaps, it may be easier to ride now, this section flows so much better than it did before.

Its a shame (well maybe not) that the new boardwalk has made people overlook the awesome work done on this section.
