My work stand cause the derailleur got messed up. I have no idea how I actually fixed it with little to no mechanical skills and nothing except a peanut butter sandwich to work with, but I did it and I was so proud. Haha!

Wow! I didn't think people really would get kicked off, especially you just doing your thing by yourself. Who cares...let people have some fun!
Yeah, it's a national park rule. No bikes in "wilderness" areas. Designated trails only. I got kicked off on Assateague Island National Park beach too. Miles away from anyone and they allow 4x4 vehicles to camp & fish. But no bikes!

Me too. I got kicked off the Chappaquiddick beach miles into 4x4 beach access only. I was up near the northern lighthouse and the park service made me throw my bike in the bed of the pickup and sit in the bed for the like 3 miles of sand road to the park gate.

But if someone were in the bed of your own truck, you’d get in trouble for that too 🤷‍♀️

Yup. He was a crusty old Mass-hole who had no idea what fatbikes can do. It was something he’d never seen so it was “prohibited”.
Bikes are prohibited "off road" in all National Parks. Only allowed on roads & designated bike paths. Anything off road is considered "wilderness".
That's why bikepackers have to disassemble & carry bikes on their back to go thru the Grand Canyon (re: Arizona Trail Race) or any other National Park.

I was going to go to Sandy Hook, but the NPS said it was closed and I didn't want to get turned away. So I went to Bedminster. It started okay, but was getting slushy towards the end. Also, if you know this dog, he was running around the roads at the end of the ride at the corner of River Rd. and Cedar Ridge. I tried to get him and check his tags and maybe call the owner, but I could not catch him.

With some better time planning I probably could have made it outside for a ride at lunch but I didnt think the snow was going to melt that fast. Another endurance interval type ride on Zwift instead today. Trainer calibration got wonky so the hard intervals ended up feeling too easy (not enough resistance on the trainer) so I did a few efforts after the workout was done. Hoping to get outdoors Saturday before the next Winter season starts back up Sunday.
