I'm looking at the Swagman Upright Rack (two actually) for a budget solution.
I have a Subaru Outback wagon and the rack bars are wide (2.25 inches) and oval in shape.
The Swagman Upright has a "U" bolt that clamps to the roof rack bar, however Swagman were a little nebulous about the width of their U bolt - it was 2 inches and then when I mentioned the Subaru (which apparently has wider then usual bars) it was suddenly 3 inches.
Both the local stockists are out, so I can't see one there, and I'd have to order online - I really hate the whole returning thing when things don't work out!
Anyone actually have this model and know how wide the U bolt is?
