A few of my buddies are getting back into riding after MANY years away. Showing them around SSP for an easy no drop ride that anyone is welcome to join.

8:30am at the Iron Gate; down the street from the concert field entrance. I'll be on my green Spec 29r.

Begginers and SSP and your going geared, come on Reg show how much of man your are and ride that Mary...😀

Hey Reg do any of these guys "know what time it gets dark?" oh wait, does that only apply to Deer Park? 😀

Well, it looks like my buddies are bailing for tomorrow's ride. Some lame excuse about a septic system. If no other beginners show, this will be an intermediate ride; about 3 hours. All are welcome.

Ah... the old septic system excuse... What ever that is. Looks like its just you and me buddy. Suits me just fine.

Turned out to be a great day. Ended up doing a mini MattyB with a 2 park Monte. SSP and then across Waterloo Rd up the orange into DP. Gotta love that orange climb to get the legs moving.

BTW, came across a medium sized bear along Orange 'bout 1/2 way up from concert field. No cubs, but still keep an eye out if your riding the three parks.

Reg: What's the distance on the orange trail and approximate time you are riding it? Where do you pick it up off of Waterloo Rd if I'm parking at Tilcon gate? or should I park somewhere else? Thanks.

Orange trail head is almost directly across the street from the concert field entrance; approx 75 feet up the road. The orange is a long fun climb that feeds onto the back of the DP white. From there, you can go in either direction. Typically, I go left, over the swamp bridge and up that climb and back out towards the dam. All in all, you can make it a short 10 mile run or a longer 16+ mile run. Which ever direction you go, you'll always have a blast heading back down the orange to SSP with a quick Pink run to end the day. All Good Stuff!!!!! :getsome:

We're out about 3 hours in total.

Funny you bring this up.......yes, there is a friendly no drop ride at SSP this Sunday; wheels down by 8:15. Warm up on some fun ST in SSP then on to the ever fun Orange up into DP for a mini 2 park tour.

This is open for all to join. I'll be on my root beer Mary.

Rt. 80 West to Exit 25 (Rt 206 North)...Second stop light make a left (Waterloo Rd)...There will be a Shell Station on the left as well. About 1.5 to 2 miles in make a left onto Kinney Bell Road....About a quarter mile down on the left will be a big iron gate...park
