Six Mile Run

Today was so beautiful I decided to pack up the bike and head to Six Mile. I'm sure you guys remember last time when I said that I could barely make it into the woods. Well this time I did SO much better! Here is my trip log: http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com/ViewTrip/787634 I just wish I didn't "rest" for half the trip. I pushed myself harder than I ever have and I actually got over some fears. I only fell twice! 😛

nice work! the more you go, the less you will fall, and over come more fears! It looks like you started the blue trail on canal road, went to the red/blue fork in the trail, and doubled back, is that right?

keep up the good work. The great news is that there is so much more to explore!

Try parking at each of the 3 lots and do short rides from each. Soon you will connect them all.

In a year from now you could easily do the entire loop. Just stick with it and you will see great rewards.

Each time i go there, I am finding myself stopping less each time.
The only thing Is have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good ride you seem to be doing alot better it was a fine day for sure..

Yup. I just did the blue trail. 🙂. Next up its red.

I'd recommend when you are comfortable taking the next step, at the red / blue fork that you turned around at, go from blue, at the fork hit red, then bear left on the white trail. this will lead you to the Jaques LN parking lot. From here i'd recomend you just make a right on the road, and make a right on canal rd where you park. It's basically the same mileage as you rode by doubling back, but you experience more of the park. Or if you dont want to road it back, from the Jaques LN lot, you can get back on to the red trail which goes back to canal rd.

I used to think it was crazy riding from the 27 lot out to south middlebush. Now I can ride the whole loop in half the time it used to take me to do that. As others have said, good work, and stick with it, it only gets better and more fun.

That is a very nice looking bike!

I love the geotagged photos. People on this board are always talking about "the turtle", "staircase", "dip burm #3" with vague descriptions as to location. I can never seem to find what they are talking about. The geotagged photos would help pinpoint features and special ares of interest.

very nice Dee, keep riding and you will see more and more improvements in just a few rides, but remember to rest your muscles, if you feel really sore don't push your limits, take it slow so you don't burn out. I noticed way more results when i would ride every other day rather than when i rode everyday. Don't be afraid to ride it around on the road just to get those legs moving a little more if you can't hit the trails.
Maybe we could have R U Chris give us a proper tour of 6mile, we will rig up a can of marker spray to his rear tire and follow it as he will be a mile ahead by the time we hit the first turn, but at least we will see where to go.

that's actually a really cool app. for the Bold... what's it called? Did it kill your battery life?

Good stuff!

I love how trimble outdoors geotags the photos for you. Its become my favorite GPS sharing app. You can upload a GPX on their website without the need for their app (which is a pay app)
