The SCCX #1 is in the books, this Sunday is round #2 @ SCCX presented by Cycle Craft/Team Bulldogs . The NJCX Cup returns to the Sussex County Fair Grounds. This event will be the 7th round of 9 in the NJCX Cup! The word is the course will be run in reverse direction from yesterdays event with a few changes. And yes you must hurdle the 3 barriers going downhill 😀 With only 7 Cyclocross races remaining for the 2011  we need to support the efforts of the NJCX!
Sign up here you bitches! http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=14470

Crosschick ... :getsome:

i heard them say that it will be 97% backwards, i dont think downhill barriers will be happening.

For real on the DH barriers?

A total reverse course would create mass chaos in about 23 seconds after the start, going down that pavement into the 180.

Downhill barriers are not legal in CX. Not sure what they have in store. They could start where they usually do, make the left and continue on the road and then left onto the grass. Whatever, I'm sure Brian and company will come up with something good!

imagine all the broken necks with the downhill barriers? ouch.

oh and if you can remove the two elevation change sections, that would be great.

sincerely, my legs

Start up the road as usual then 180 degree hairpin turn back around the lake. This would be awesome. I'll be back with 60 psi in my tires.

Does anyone have an over/under ramp? I'm surprised no one has one of these to do figure 8 courses of death. :hmmm:

Haha, we've looked into it a little bit for the ST series.

Agree that it's been a solid course up there all 3 times I've done it. Now that Ted is on the shelf maybe they will leave out the Lerch-specific sections 🙂

Oh and I like hills.

A - still uphill barriers. We could reduce to 2 if I remember to tell anyone, and anyone wants to respond, in order to reduce the complaining and I take my pain meds. Maybe.
B - we thought it out; the course will be good with plenty of time to stretch it out before anything dicey.
C - no downhill finish line. Bad, bad, bad idea. We will largely respect the 100m straightaway, and the finish line will be where it was back in the day BN.
D - and before anybody asks, no downhill stairs either.

"because it's hard; because it sucks the most. And it's over quickly."

BN = before Norm

BN, nice. The finish line was in the perfect spot IMO.... perfect spot to get owned by someone!

Last year was painful but ok, with the straight shot into them. The 180 into them was tough.

Really fun course today!! Thanks to Team Bulldog. I guess the weather was really nice too 🙄.

Great to see big fields of women out on the course today. RC worked me over hard out there. Hopefully the harder we push, the stronger we get.

I love the cowbell prizes!!! ... here are some ladies ringing bells.

congrats to christina for being NJCX Womans "A" champion (100+ points lead w/ 2 rounds remaining). she works hard.im very proud of her.

Fun race today. Great course, amazing weather. Me... Well I needed it to be one lap shorter. I also took a nice spill on the steep downhill turn. I took it a bit too tight and suddenly there was a yard sale. Gps went flying, mud caked my brake lever ( Lance and Robin had front row seats for that one!) The short barrier was fun, I hopped it each time and picked up a couple spots. Some guy took a nasty spill on the pavement in front of me, hope he was ok but it didn't look like he was getting up too quickly. I think Capers got caught up behind him too.
