Riding backpack

I need a cycling backpack for my commute and walking around school. Has to be able to hold books and a change of clothes/bike clothes and my helmet. Being able to hold a bladder would be nice but don't really need it as I use bottles mostly. Any recommendations?

What are you trying to keep in it? Camelbacks are great but you won't fit to many books or extra shoes in there... I just order the Sealine urban backpack (large) for the sole use of commuting... This back pack has no water reservoir but can hold my portfolio, extra shoes, clothes and my lunch for the day... I picked up the cell phone attachment in case my boss calls and I happened to skadattle early😉... It attaches to the shoulder straps for easy access...Happy hunting

northface

Check out north face back packs. They have straps for across your chest and stomach. And they are big eough to fit books and anything else you may need

What about messenger bags from someplace like Timbuk or Chrome? I use a Timbuk2 for work and its huge. They have over the shoulder straps as well as waist straps to keep everything secure while riding.

Osprey Talon

Osprey Talon would also be a good choice if you are looking for a backpack type bag. It comes in a few different sizes, has hydro capabilities.
