rickety bridge on 27 side

Are there any plans to fix or repair the first bridge on the route 27 side? the one that is raised above a small creek bed. it sure is wobbly and not alot of fun taking a header off of either

Which by the way, thanks to the guys that helped me out of that creek bed, there was 4 of them.

Great job on the trails though and the clean up, it was a great ride and good to be back out on the bike

Was that you who went down last week?

5 of us came around the corner and saw a guy pulling his bike out of the water.

yeah that was me, laying on the far side of the bank after hearing you guys coming up on me fast. nice way to kick off my riding for the year, a header in to the drink...LOL

yeah I think I saw a couple of you guys hanging out in the parking lot on jaques lane as i was riding home. One in an orange shirt i believe it was

but i did make it over the rest of the bridges the rest of the way down to the ranger station

I was the one waiting at the parking lot in the orange jersey waiting to get picked up after a flat in my tubeless.

Exactly how did you go down?

I was surprised you weren't hurt badly. The drop must be at least 5 feet with a bunch of rocks at the bottom waiting to "cushion" your fall.

oh wow, that sucks, a flat on a tubeless.

well it wasnt really that hard for me to go down, i was being stupid and looking at where my front tire was and not looking out ahead of where i was, i was more focused on the bridge and by the time i realized what was about to happen i was eating some rock. Lcukily i hit the far bank and not a straight drop which probably helped to prevent more pain.

Although i did ride that bridge on monday going out, but chickened out on the way back in to the fields on 27.

I sure do hope that this bridge doesnt cause any problems going forward for anyone else.

I was one of those 5 guys too. Glad you were ok. I hope hearing us come up behind you didnt scare you off the bridge.

Most definitely you guys spooked me, i thought i was about to have some tire tread up my backside if i didnt move fast enough off that bridge.

actually no, you guys just got to see the highlight, i was going off cause like a dumb ass i was not looking forward but instead looking at where my front tire was. have to learn to keep my focus forward at least 10 feet in front of my front tire.

no shame in walking across some bridges i guess

Even worse. If you look on one side of the bridge there is a string of barbed wire going across only a couple feet off that bridge. If you go down on the wrong side, it could get very ugly.
