police patrol

Jefferson Township has a bike patrol. They use them for events like J-7 mentioned, but at other times as well. The officers I've spoken to liked that it made them more approachable to the average citizen when patrolling communities.

I live in Dover; Dover PD has bikes, but the use is sporadic. Newton also has at least one bike but their patrol seems sporadic as well.

Rutgers Police has a bike patrol! So do the Community Service Officers (Student patrol)!

And a nice shop to boot! Park tools all around, repair stand, truing stand!

They ride I believe some kind of Raleighs....with Light and motion headlights, disc brakes...not a bad setup

i only see them out when Rutgers is having games and always in that park behind the dorms on collage ave, never any other part

Segways FTW:getsome:

Mostly in the town area is where I've seen them. Sometimes at events. They seem pretty friendly if your on a bike. We ride the tandem through downtown all the time. We call it running the gauntlet.

I have actually passed a bicycle riding Union Twp. Police officer on my bicycle. They are usually only out when there is a street festival or a similar event.

Princeton John Law on a bike gave me ish one time for J-Walking...he then told me that it was past my bedtime :hmmm: 9:00 pm?
