Orange numbers

Frank

Wookie
If anyone knows who is painting the large numbers on the trees, please ask them to quit it. I've seen 2 or 3 of them on Glass, Blind, and near the pit. Please chime in with the other locations so I know where to go to remove them. Thanks

Your phone #😉

Seriously, they seem to be mileage indicators of someone's loop, done in orange spray paint. Seemed to arrive after a demo, not saying they had any part in it, just giving a timeline.

How does someone come to the conclusion that spraypainting numbers on trees is a good idea.

"I need to mark these trees.... HMMmm....... What to do...... I know! Orange Spraypaint!! Thats the answer!! Everyone will love it! I'm so smart!"

hahahaha, we really need a sarcasm smiley here!!🙄

....and they should be at least 12" high and resemble overpass graffiti !!! That would surely enhance the outdoor experience.

Just for the record, I do NOT believe it is the same group that was involved in the Orange paint situation a year or so ago, this is completely different. And if I catch this person, I will NOT offer them a spray paint enema like I did last time.😱

Could they be preparing to do another controlled burn?

Good point Brad, but this seems to be a much larger area.

I had a conversation with my park rep about an area that could actually use a burn, and he said they had no plans for another burn in the park. So I don't think it's marking for a burn, as a matter of fact, I think they used ribbon for their boundries on the last burn if my memory serves me correctly.

Steelman has 3 or 4 marks on it in fact they were there the last TM Brian and I were thinking it coud be some sort of bad tree marking as the first 2 were on trees that had a bit of a lean to them.
when we noticed a 4 painted on one right a III on one it has to be some sort of route marking.
either that or Norm's phone number so Frank doesn't forget it...

i would agree with the tree "countings" but i could have swore I saw a 2.5 or something on one of them.

Note to self....squash Capers :mad2:

Don't squash me, Frank 🙁

No seriously, I saw on painted on that thing that used to be a log over on the blue Fatbike lane. The GPS coordinates are:

40° 8'34.00"N

Thanks pal

I couldn't squash you anyway...I'd have to be able to catch you first.😱

The numbers keep showing up on Sat morning. It must be someone who has off on Fridays and only works a 4 day work week with no weekends.😕
I might know how to trap this person and catch him. If I do, Frank I will need your help because he is very slick and well read.:hmmm:
