Looks like I beat everyone except Liong this week - even @Kaleidopete - come on man, don't let up now!

13hrs, 54 mins (215 miles) and took a day off to run.

Two trail rides with commander Jim, he's an interesting guy: a navy seal from the Vietnam war, retired as full commander, then worked for General Dynamics.

My usual ride partner Bob returned after 2 weeks in Switzerland. We explored some new trail systems we are trying to connect - found some interesting single track here. I'm surprised how much singletrack is within riding distance from our place

yeah -no solo exploring in Fla.
not to mention riding through the wrong spiderweb could mean a hospital trip....this may be urban legend.
Nice job.

22 miles mostly on the road today. I actually named my Strava file “Man there’s a lot of trash on the roadside”. Then there was the several times I got “buzzed” and 2 occasions to have school buses pull out into my path. I thought you had to be a good driver to be trusted with the lives of children. That made the 1 mile that wasn’t on the road my favorite part of the ride! Hoping another day of drying will help the northern trails drain enough to go get some rocks/dirt.

The view down the favorite mile...

Missed the early social ride yesterday due to rain, and the afternoon social ride due to family obligations. Got out late last night after diagramming out the NFL's playoff logistics for my 6- year olds (!) and finally getting them into snoozyland.

Rear flat within the first 15 minutes; leaking slowly, so rode the front wheel home to enable a change with good light and a floor pump. Had a slow leaker there anyways, that I was pumping up every ride, no biggs. Sometimes it's better to live with a slow leaker....

OK, now it's even later, go. Bike felt fast for some reason, maybe cauz haven't been out much this week. Put some miles on, then coming into Metuchen it felt like the front was wallowing a bit on turns. F me, not again. Yes again, changed it by the train station, then ride on. Blackburn pack pump takes like 400 pumps to get a 26 x 2.1 to 30psi, man my triceps were burnin.

Spun back down thru Edison and P'way, thru Livingston, then down to the river and home. Just about 18mi and din't get rained on.

Need more tubes tho. Where's those 10 for $20 deals? WTF I ain't payin' 5 buxx for a shitty tube. They cost like 3 cents to make.

No pix but lots of pissing tubes. Back at it soooon...
