Me too, but when I drove into snow, I checked status ...

No issues. Turned around before I got too far.

The billy goat mower work looks great!

Cutting out multi floral rose, honey suckle and other invasives this time of year is ideal. Its so much easier when not leafed out and temps are colder, allowing for more comfort while wearing protective clothing.

The ground can be unpredictable to do tread work, either too muddy or frozen. Winter is the time for vegetation work, doing it in the summer blows.

Al, I posted the TM work and images on Trail Forks. Good call on the weather!
Yes, winter is the best time to cut back the margins. Cooler, no leaves or bugs and you can see what needs to be cut back and how far. Previously we never did any TM in Dec, Jan or Feb. Weather and trail surface conditions permitting, I can see how this works in our favor to get a leg up on the thorn vegetation.

Heads up! We are doing our monthly TM this Saturday 3/21 between 9:00-12-00. Meet at the marina. We will work on the Orange trail near the damn. We'll be doing some trimming and margin control. Hopefully we can get some of the spiky sweetgum balls that are all over the place.

Please bring work gloves. Long pants and sleeves recommended.

Please sign the waiver for Jorba if you have not done so this year.

Also, please RSVP so we can get a head count and plan accordingly. See you Saturday 🤘
