Looking to get my son started skiing this year and figured used skis might be a better deal than renting. Anyone have skis for a 3 yr old? Also, I have never skied, only boarded, so it'd be great if anyone could point me in the right direction on what I should be looking for. Thanks.

i went down this road as well and ultimately it turned out to be better to rent than buy- even buying used stuff. you can get seasonal rentals for not much more than a weekly so if you're planning on going a decent amount, it's the BEST route to go.

should add that pelican will do a no-charge boot exchange if the feet grow during the season.

I see that you can rent from Pelican. Are there any other places to rent from? I'm in New York so really only go to Potter Brothers when I need winter sport stuff.

If you're ever in the Mountain Creek area, you should check out McAfee Ski and snowboard on rt 94 not too far from the mountain.
