JORBA Winter Jam

Klean Kanteen has agreed to co-brand with JORBA. Expect some sweet 16oz pint glasses at this event.

Plans are also falling in place for some super sweet video walls showing local mtb films throughout the race and social. More to follow this week.

If you're already registered for one of the events, how would someone go about doing a combined registration? I'm already registered for jam, and thinking about racing, whereas my buddy is already registered for racing, and might want to sign up for the jam.

Matt that is an excellent question! I will have something added to the bikereg page for each event ASAP. It has been on our to-do list since we rescheduled and somehow took a back burner to riding on slushy fireroads and road rides in rain. Priorities I guess 😀

Bikereg is updated. Basically added a $10 option for racers/fat four adventure types to eat drink and be merry, and added race/adventure options on the jam page. This is below a break even number, but I am sure those who come will throw a few bucks in the jar next to the included-with-entry craft beer pours or the wookie burger table. Remember discount codes for JORBA members/race team members, and pm me here or email ken@jorba.org for suggestions / complaints / remodeling ideas / new and exciting discount code ideas. We are not in this to make a huge profit, and a portion of proceeds are going to the YMCA Camp. Kids + woods + singletrack + bikes = win.

I just want to see the SJ community, and those from points north who are into it, to come out and have fun. I also want to get some kind of estimate on food. I am bummed that short track kickoff wound up on the same day (I want to do short track sons), but the fat four was scheduled ages ago and it was our only reasonable option with the YMCA camp folk for a new date.

Hey Ken, since I was already registered for winter jam... how should I sign up for the race? On the Jam bikereg, they're a combined option. Can I cancel my Jam registration and re-register? Thanks!

Registration closes tomorrow night. We will send food numbers to the camp on Wednesday, so any day-of registrations will not be guaranteed food. We are planning on extra, but you may have to eat wookie burgers and drink stale beer.

A local MTBer is setting up his huge-as-hell jumbotron screen to play local movies and cover the finish line. Beer is rolling in from River Horse and other local brewers. Local shops have donated schwag, and anyone who mentions MTBNJ and joins or renews at the jam will get a super sekret schwag item that is completely new to the JORBAschwagbag. (you may or may not be able to drink liquids out of it)

The trails will be well marked for the Mayhem Fat Four Race, which is also the H2H series newest venue, so come out and pre-ride to get a feel for next month's race. Message me for a discount code to save some cash. If the fee is the only thing holding you back pm me or email ken@jorba.org to volunteer and food/beer is on me.

If you aren't doing short track, and have no plans to do something awesome, you should be in Medford on Sunday.

@KenS

Can I buy a raffle ticket in absentia? I work Sunday mornings on the other end of the state, but would still like to support...

Yes, there is a link on both bikereg sites for raffle tickets. Cheers and thanks for the support!

Ken how long is the race going to last? I'd like to see some of it since I've never been to one before. And I assume we can start riding when it's over? Like to get a few hours moving time in

Not positive, but I thought it is a 3-4 hour endurance race. Ends at about 12?
