This ride is shaped like PAIN. :getsome:

The profile takes on the classic saw-tooth shape.

Took the singlespeed mountain bike up Waughaw today. It was tough but not as hard as I expected. If the steepest section was any steeper I might not have made it. It's really good for hill training on the SS MtB. I'm going to try to ride up it at least once a week. Kind of reminded me of riding up the hill to Lake Minnewaska up in the 'gunks.

Intresting sidenote. I rode up to hidden valley to hit up breakneck road. Pretty funny. As im busting my ass climbing up in my shorts, skiers are coming down the hill next to me. I hit the lap button at the bottom and top, 580' in .9mi. Anyway, I was hoping this ride would have had more elevation, but I didnt plan it out, I just headed out the same way I would had driven it.

Is Lake Denmark to Split Rock to Rockaway Valley ridable on skinny tires?

I wouldnt head through split rock right now on a road bike, cross bike maybe. But on wed it was super muddy near the dam and filled with ruts and pot holes. Lake denmark road is also rough, but since there are hardly ever cars on it, you dont have to ride on the edge of the road.

It was amazing how ripped up they were this past week. Fun on the mountain bike. I'll probably check it out in a little while. Looked like they were grading the road at Splitrock last time I went through.

You might be able to squeeze out more elevation change coming back on Canister road instead. This is a route from my place that follows the loop portion of your ride but comes back on Canister instead of Vernon-Stockholm Rd. Similar elevation change on a shorter ride...

Of course, that is all assuming that our Garmin's were having similar degrees of accuracy (inaccuracy) with elevation 😀
