Getting to Know You...Question #8...

Niner SIR9, Mavic Crossmax, hardtail, Fox suspension fork. Tangerine, q-ring up front.

Haro Mary SS, stock wheels as per Jake, full rigid, q-ring.

Trek 4300? Manitou fork, aluminum hardtail, used for local junk riding when the weather is too bad to hit much of anything else.

Trek 750? which is what I tote my daughter around on. Full rigid, this is my original mountain bike bought around 1990.

Trek 6700 which I have setup as a ghetto SS with platform pedals. Used to ride to various spots in town.

Trek 2200 road bike, triple, about 9 years old. Rolf wheels, some of the same 105 components that came on it.

A Jamis who-knows-what with a "wound-up" fork I have on the trainer.

Specialized Stumpjumper that could technically be ridden downhill but which is more or less in pieces. Not a Frankenbike I just have no use for it right now.

I have too many bikes. But I need a new road bike soon.

I think this question was sponsered by our LBS's. After reading some of the post, I want to get more bikes and upgrade my current ones. Damn you Ben!

2005 Specialized SJ FSR Expert 120 with a few nice upgrades (most noteably the Crossmax ST wheels and Salsa carbon bar)

I'd like to have a whole stable, but I don't get enought time to ride to justify the expense.

08 Niner A.I.R. - Race Bike, crotch rocket

06 Cannondale Rush - For fun bike, hitting stunts and AM type riding.

02 Kona Kaboom SS - Off season training bike, it's been my number one pick lately.

06 Trek 1000 - Road bike, when I feel like being bored.

Next year will see a 29er SS to replace the Kona, and a cyclocross bike. 2010 will probably see retirement of the rush and a true all mtn bike replacing it.

07 Specialized Epic Comp Women's

06 Specialized Dolce Elite (Road)

I'll have a SS, DH and CX bike when my quiver is complete 😀

08 Gary Fisher HIFI PRO(as pictured on my avatar)

08 Felt Nine Elite(currently set up as my commuter to/from work but I now have a spare wheelset(thanks to CROSSADDICT) that I can put on to hit the dirt)

😀

Fuji Aloha (custom built by a friend, so I don't know what year frame or anything). Bunch of Dura Ace and Deda and Truvative carbon bits, with some nice road bars. The wheels are Bontrager Race X lite, which I have been told are good wheels. I took off the Aerobars. Don't know a ton about road bikes but it's wicked fast and I ride it every morning and love it.

2008 Trek 6000 hardtail, different tires/pedals/stems/saddles/etc depending on what I use it for. I ride everything from XC to urban and DJ on it, just by changing the parts and geometry.

Want: A Giant STP SS and a rigid 29 ss. But I live in a 10x8 room on base, and two bikes and a stand already take up most of my room.

07 IH azure, 1x9 and nicely spec'd
'08 scott s20 road bike, stock, 18.5 lbs
zoller's orange marin SS, steel, early 90s, seized post

I'd like to swap the azure for two bikes: a hardtail 29er and a stiff 1x9 five to six inch trail bike like the Rize, Trance X, Spot or ML. No idea how to approach this with the wife.

Current:

1997 Rhygin Juke - 26" SS, rigid XC setup. Looking to change it to a 29/650B over the winter
2006 Kona Paddy Wagon - SS roadie bike
2007 Sinister GRUITR - 26" sussy freeride/trail/jump bike
2008 Union Street Molly Maguire - 24" DJ/park rig
2006(?) Evil Sovereign - 26" SS do everything bike that I keep at my in-laws in FL. There actually some good mtn biking in FL and where they live I use it everyday to ride around.

My bike history list could be a little longer. I did it once and I think it was close to 40 bikes.

I wish I could list my kids bikes - they have some pretty dialed rides.
