found a bike on the GSP

WHO IS Floyd Landis ????????????????

Played saxophone in the muppet band ...

Seriosuly, though -- didn't some guy in Iowa famously buy a really high end custom MTB that Landis lost on the highway after racing the Mohican 100 a few years ago? It was like a one-off custom bike and Landis didn't bother to look for it after it was lost (partly because he may not have known when it fell and partly because he's the kind of giant douche who would disrespect the manufacturer who sponsored him with a custom rig.) But some guy found it, put it up for sale in that annual state-wide yard sale that Iowa has, and some other guy saw it, recognized that it was a really high-end bike, and bought it dirt cheap. The story was in Velonews back in '08 or something.

And if you really don't know who Landis is, "Who is Floyd Landis?" is the correct Jeopardy response to "The only PED taking American cyclist ever to have a Tour de France GC win stripped from him because he made his doping too stupidly obvious to be able to get away with it".

By the way -- the bike probably isn't his. And it definitely isn't mine. But if you put up some info on the rough vicinity of the GSP (closest exit) where you found it, one of the locals on this forum might be able to throw up a sign or two at the local riding venues in that area to tell people who may have lost one to contact you.

Seriouis question: what about it makes you think it is really expensive if you admittingly admit that you really don't know anything about bicycles?
