First 60 miler

Thanks guys!

@Martin: Butt held up fine! My Trek's Bontrager saddle is 100x more comfortable than my Specialized saddle. Paired with Pearl Izumi elite shorts my buttocks doesn't have any issues!

@Eddy: My legs after I napped yesterday were exhausted. Today they felt like they should, like they have been worked out to the max.

My next ride will aim for 75, then I have Ramapo Rally 62miler, then the NY Century. Hopefully by that time I'll be trained enough for those miles and be doing centuries every weekend.

Really want to have a Social ride up here in the Bergen County area soon!

Blog

Hey guys, I don't have Garmin connect yet but I keep track of all my progress cycling wise via my blog. So far for the past 2 months I lost 20lbs of weight between mountain biking, road biking, running, and weight lifting 5-6 days a week.

Any support will be great!

Thanks.

That's awesome to hear. I scanned through your blog, looks like you're on the right track. I just ride my bike though and not any of the other stuff you do.

I'm thinking of organizing some kind of road ride around the 9W, Rockland, Bear Mountain and/or Harriman with lots of climbing 😀 Probably after my beginner group ride responsibilities are over after this month. Hopefully make it into some kind of regular monthly or bi-monthly thing.

Question: Anyone doing the Twin Lights ride Sept 26th?

I've done the twin lights a few years back - more climbing than I expected and also missed a turn so added a few miles to the 50. it's a nice scenic ride.

MS150 city to shore that weekend for me.

Hey nice posts, I also go into road biking a year ago. With a purchase of a aluminum bike, now a year later with over 1300 miles under the belt purchased a full Carbon Ultegra Giant from 2007/8 year.

So anyways, I am going to ride the 55 miles of the Twin lights, after riding a 67 miler of this Twin lights ride this Monday I did notice that there is many uphills. Here is my plotted route. Some of the roads in bad shape.
