Fairhill Classic ss gearing?

I may do a double header next week. Curious about gearing. I'm thinking 2:1 but not really sure. Just going off one lead I had. Going to do peter pounder Sunday and thinking 32/18.

Not sure what the course is out there this year since they changed the whole format of the race (the endurance used to be a 50 miler, now it's a six hour lap race.) Most of the climbs at Fair Hill are short and punchy, so 2:1 is probably a tall gear.

I remember the last third of the expert course to be pretty stiff, granted I raced gears then... it wasn't as "straight" as Stewart.

The course I made is around 8 miles with around 1100 ft of climbing. There's a longish climb up from the creek and there's a rocky climb with loose rocks that's very doable on a SS. Maybe 2 or 3 more shortish climbs thrown in there. I ride a 32x19. I think it's a fast course.
