so do u guys think its too early to ride diablo after all this rain we had. i wanted to head up on saturday but im not sure yet...

Saw a post on Facebook by Diablo that 95% of the trails are open for tomorrow thanks to the engineering that went into the trails.

this was just posted on Facebook

Diablo Freeride Park Trail Update: despite all the recent wetness, Lower Dominion, Alpine, IndyCross and Greenhorn will all be open at 9am this Saturday. Upper Dominion, Pipeline and Covenant are expected to be open by early afternoon. It's shaping up to be an awesome weekend of riding with sunny skies and temps in the 60's!

My buddy lost his Sony digital camera in the Diablo parking lot today. Just getting it out there just in case anyone saw it.

Sucks. Did you check again? I lost a nice water jug sorta thing with all the water park people there, losing a camera must suck even worse but there is a good chance that if a mtn biker finds it, they'll return it.

My buddy drove back up yesterday to check around the parking lot and found nothing. He left messages at the Diablo and the Mountain Creek number. Now it seems like it is the waiting game since they are closed during the week. I posted and ad on craigslist for him on Sunday with no responses yet.

hard tails...

My wife and 3 boys ride with me every Saturday in 6 mile... My
son wants to try Diablo. My 3 boys ride hard tails.... can their bikes
handle Diablo? Im planning on renting just the armor and use our bikes.

I rode my hardtail there this past weekend. It's rough let me tell you that. It's the end of the season and the trails are not exactly silky smooth. It's more about personal choice though. I was the only guy I saw riding a hardtail.

I personally think if u ride a hardtail there ur NUTS lol, thats just me though, Ive got a Bam and im on all the trails, like the previous post said its really up to u.

I rode Diablo with Warcricket on his hardtail dirt jumper earlier this season. He did fine, but personally, I'll take 8" of plushness.

i'm taking the HT to vertical earth on the 17th, i'm hoping VE will be a little more HT friendly. it'll be my first time there.

Blue has some steep tech rocky trails and an awesome DJ park if thats your thing. They also have a Dual Slalom track as well. So you will have a good time at Blue. I was going to try and head down there on saturday, but im not sure. If not ill be at Diablo.

I'd say Diablo is more hardtail friendly unless you're sticking to the jump park and Blue Route at VE. Diablo has more beginner non-rocky trails.
