Boy did you skip right over my heavily photoed post 😀 Just do it, drop psi's and have fun...
I personally go low 10-12 psi back 8-10 psi front tubeless for snow of 4inches or better. Mid teens with less snow. For the record I run low psi on dirt. Practice with what you think works good for you, start out 20psi and go down. I get much better traction mainly when trails start going up in low psi.
I run 20 psi in dirt with tubes. On snow I go more like 12 to 14. Why so high? In snow that would be a major disadvantage.

I will be going to DP today. Probably get there around 2:30 - 3:00.
A monster truck w 35" tires will get stuck before a lil ol toyota 4x4 w little stock tires. You want to cut thru the snow to the frozen pack not float on top. Good luck you'll need it................
Rode Deer Park today with JohneeO and a few other peeps. Conditions and weather couldn't have been any better!!!!! Trails are packed down nicely; very fast. Got in 10 miles with a 10+ on the Fun-O-Meter.
Unfortunately, I had my worst crash this year. Hammering down the ST off yellow down to the parking lot at a good clip....then a small sappling grabbed my bar end forcing me to take flight eventually landing on a few rocks. OUCH!!! My arm and ribs are banged up pretty good, but I don't think anythings broken.
Other than that....I believe this was the most fun in the snow this year!!!!!

PS those silly barends are messing up your girly bars, toss them...
Once I can lift my arm above my head, they're coming off; both bikes. Nearly killed myself thanks to them.

What I meant to say is.........It was my best performance to date; hammered away on the Mary SS better than before. I kept a solid pace and felt strong climbing, which had been a weakness of mine. Going SS definitely helps build leg strength and quick!!!!!

Reg-- glad to hear you love the new bike. Can't wait to hear the story of how you introduced it to the wife. (prefer. over a beer) We rode Stephens today and way way yesterday. My legs are tired. Will be getting out again this week, but maybe we can plan something for the weekend...
