cross practice

glad you could make it sean. with 30+ people that was the biggest group i ever saw there. once the cross season starts i would expect to see 40 or more. new course next week.

Big ups to Dan for setting this up!

Just went for the first time, and despite flatting TWICE I still managed to have a heck of a lot of fun. The crowd was big, with a good range of speed and skills--and everyone was unfailingly awesome to meet and hang out with.

The course was longer than I expected, with a great mix of fast grass sections and more technical barriers, off-camber turns, and run-ups. I thought the weeping willow tree funhouse horror maze was great, even though I'm still picking a few branches off my bike. As Jason put it: the course was a lot more fun than many we've paid to race on.

I'll definitely be back!

So fun. Great terrain and good people. This course will make race courses seem easy. It isn't super hard but it is more than you might expect from a practice. Thanks to Dan and his sparkling teeth.

Flatted, broke my saddle and going full gas I felt like a drunk clown on a unicycle. All in all, perfect! Thanks Dan!

thanks to everyone who came out to ride and set up/clean up it would not be the same without your guys help.
Sean sounds likes like a expensive night for you. atleast you got it out of your system before charm city.

This practice has been great. Ive been to every practice so far. I have learned so much about the sport, myself, my bike and the great people that participate.

Oh and I finally completed all three laps without having to stop. People were already putting thier bikes on their cars when I finished but I finished...

Thanks for the opportunity and all the hard work to make it happen Dan and crew.

Look out Cat 4....here I come

Holy shit! what a great time!...You'll see more of me.

Thank you Dan for putting this together.

Did anybody find a pair of sunglasses in the parking lot last night? They have a black frame with clear lenses. I put them on the roof of my car and drove away still up there.

Thanks.

It's that (make, model, size, color and smell deleted) right? So it wasn't Joe's? I wish someone would leave something I could use. Where'd you say the glasses were?

Did anyone find a set of lungs and a pair of legs on the course last night? I think I lost both of mine out there

Again, great course Dan...I am really enjoying this cx stuff...

At the risk of putting my foot in Dan's mouth, I think it's on. From conversations with himself, it only gets cancelled when it's pouring. I guess people hate cleaning their bikes twice in a week.
The usual go-time is 6. Usually there's a course pre-ride...

With the wetness, I was expecting the turnout to be light, but no such luck. My dreams of dominating the Wednesday night gut-fest will have to wait.
Brilliant riding.
Thanks very much Guy (?) for explaining in a calm and collected manner how corners SHOULD be ridden vs. how I was doing them. At full-gas.
(Seeing a lot of Van Dessel action out there, or maybe that was just Maurice lapping me again and again and again...)
I'm reminded that this yellow tape is usually found at crime scenes.
Thanks again Dan! And congratulations on some fine riding in Gloucester.

hey sean, that was fun mixing it up in the mud for the first time this year. that "guy" his name is Gui, a good rider to take advice from. strong race for you last weekend also. practice that faster start and you will be the top 10 next race.

just a reminder that cross practice starts at 5:30 this week. If you get there late just join in, learn the course and warm up for the next race. Course will be finished 4:30-5:00 if you want to start earlier. Also congrats to all the regulars who raced westwood this weekend and won the 35+, 45+, 55+ and the B Men.
