Conditions?

Since I'm not playing racquetball tonight, I was thinking about trying 6mile since I've never been there and it's really kind of close. I normally ride Hartshorne and really love the place and the single track.

Will I be disappointed with 6mile?

Thanks,

nj

I don't think you will be dissapointed. It doesn't have the elevation/climbs of Harshorne but it is super tight, fast, flowy, fun single track!
give it a shot, it's a different type of fun 😉

I think I'm going to have to wait for a weekend to ride it since I'm not going to have too much time tonight and I'm sure there will be ton's of traffic getting back home (have to be back before 7). Just looking at the map, there is no easy way to the park from Old Bridge.🙁

Trails were good yesterday after work.. a little mud here and there on the corners, but overall pretty fast and firm.

That was before it rained last night though, so it'll be pretty wet now.

The blue trail was good from 10 this morning ( minus a few puddles) until it started raining again in the afternoon. There was one new rotten tree down 0.1 mile before the intersection of blue and where the old yellow trail intersected. It was blocking the main trail forcing you to use the log pile feature at that location. I moved it a foot or two so you can pass by carefully without needing to use the log pile but it really needs a couple guys to grab it and move it entirely clear of the trail.

I did manage to work up a sweat this morning and ended up going by a bike shop later in the day to buy some cool new threads. The humidity was crazy for NJ out there today.

anyone been out there today?? id like to take my friends there tomorrow but im not sure about the conditions, i know 6mile drains slowly. any info appreciated

We had a blast out there last night.
