Conditions?

Riding today from 27 lot at 5:00 if anyone would like to join. Could be last time to ride for a few days with rain coming...

Went yesterday and had some fun. Trails were mostly perfect...a little wet but not too wet, some puddles here and there. I was having a blast on all the "features" that someone built back there. I can ride all of them except for this log with ramps on either end. I don't know why I can't do it...everytime I would ride up to the log, my mind would freak out and I'd fall off. But I had no issue with any of the other bridges...

Good conditions today. Counted about 5 small puddles. Should be perfect for the weekend.

i got caught in the rain on my way out yesterday and it was getting slick....

idk tough call for today. i'm personally gonna sit it out.

Hello, my name is George and i am old school i guess. I ride a hardtail with v-brakes and I do actually run 40 psi in my 2.0 width tires. I weight around 175. I do not have any problems with any section at 6MR. Any less pressure in the tires and i feel like they're bogging me down. At 40 psi they still hold great in the corners and climbs and i dont get that "bouncy" feeling when i'm pedalling that i hate.

How do you know how much tire pressure to use on which trails? I usually keep my tire pressure at the higher end of the recommendation. Are you riding 35-40 psi at 6mr because the dirt is softer/looser? Would that mean you would ride 45-50 psi at Chimney Rock because of all the rocks?
