Chimney Rock Conditions

Did the whole place. It was damp but not muddy. Just splashes here and there. A few divots of greased dirt in tight turns. It was a good day.

My kid goes to a summer camp in Bridgewater. I can swing by a bit after I drop her off or before pick her up. Is there any place that needs a little love/caring? Since we had rain this morning, I'm not planning to ride this week. If there is a place that needs trimming near the road, I'll start from there. How about on Red near Chimney Rock Rd after the uphill? Sometimes it gets bushy there. I haven't been there for 3-4 months because of the wet spring we had, I have no idea what's it like there now.

Yellow South of Miller along the top of the ridge needs sticker pruning.

No red & blue are both pretty much ok. If you are starting at Newman's then go towards white. Do the far loop and you'll have plenty to keep you busy. Cross stream, take left then right, climb up and turn right at the big hole where the tree fell over. That outer loop would keep you busy for a good 2 hours I bet.

Otherwise up top of yellow, a lot of the flat areas up there are in need of serious trimming.

Took a pic of this on the crappy bridge on white today.
Why is the IMBA section on yellow closed?

Rode Red, White, and Blue yesterday morning (Patriotic loop). Conditions were fantastic! Overall tacky goodness. Still some hold out puddles on upper blue (didn't ride lower blue). Get out there!

YELLOW ONLY

with @Shorepoints, Bob and Matt from the outkast UC JORBA chapter.

4/4

99% great, 0.5% mud

UPDATE: @Shorepoints said Orange trail was fine today too.

Curious how the other trails are for tomorrow?

Repeat of previous post for today - although we skipped yellow.....
getting weedy on orange.

The white trail to the boardwalk/new bridge they are working on, and all trails between the water and Chimney Rock Road are closed for the next 3 months. All the entrances (Near Ballfield, across from Gilbride, and near the damn) are closed.
We had a nice fella with a gun and a badge explain that to us. While on the trail. Maybe i made up the gun part. Maybe not.
