Smuttynose IPA is my personal favorite. and it certainly has a citrus-like undertone (grapefruit to be exact). however, this flavor is NOT added, it is the natural flavor of the particular hops they use. its very subtle and NOT one bit sweet. just delicious.

I can occassionally enjoy a beer with fruitty flavor. Magic Hat #9 (apricot) I think is very tasty (particularly on tap where the fruitiness is more subtle). I think its an IPA (or close to it).

but yeah, fruitiness can be really bad. I had a blueberry wheat over the summer that was FRIGGIN NASTY. just tasted like blueberry syrup was poured into my beer.

+1 on the noble pils.
picked up a case and half when it showed up for when the porter runs out,
or it becomes spring, whichever comes first.
