Burning Thighs...

Is there a difference compression shorts/leggings to under armour cold weather gear leggings? Need to know how to ease the burning thighs that happens when I ride. I would like to chalk it up to me just starting to ride, but if there's a difference please help me out. If it's a getting in shape thing then I'll just have to deal with for now.

If the "burning" is more noticeable when going uphill or pushing hard, it may just be related to the fact that you're momentarily exceeding your body's ability to deliver sufficient oxygen to the working muscles, a so-called "anaerobic" effort. As you ride more, you'll become more fit and be able to sustain these efforts more easily. Intermittent hard efforts, though, are common to mountain biking, and it's a feeling we all experience if we push our limits.

Thanks to all....

Thanks for all the responeses humorous and serious. I kinda figured it out before all the helpful replies. First and foremost, definitley not enough saddle time Sat/Sun only for the past three weekends. My work keeps me kinda active and being this is a new thing for me I do try to stay active with football(fall/spring) and surf fishing(spring/summer) walking the beaches and climbing the jetties. So this time of the year is my down time so to speak, mtb is going to fill that void and very well take over the football...maybe. I was riding the lbs rental bike so it is not my size, I had seat to low and everything else that goes along with wrong size anything. Now that my bike was delivered and being assembled all that will change. More saddle time, meeting with a fitter and most likely purchase another bike to ride on the road to help get my weight down some and wind up. I just thought some compression shorts/leggings would help a little, I don't have to be concerned with burning thighs playing football or fishing. And I WILL push through... Again thank you everyone
