Yeah, I've ridden there. It's actually a pretty decent ride. I personally prefer Middle Run (which is just a bit further down the highway.) But Brandywine is worth checking out if you're looking for a new place to explore.

Not for nothing I think you could spend a weekend riding your road bike on those forever rolling roads!

Then call out monday and tuesday to hit up the wonderful trail system near by! White clay, fair hill and brandy wine!

I was there yesterday for an adventure race-
that would have been all the folks with mt bikes you saw, and why you saw them going into the West side- as Carrie said, I think that side is usually closed to bikes.
It was my first peek at the park,
and I would say if it's local, definitely worth a little exploring.

Believe it or not, Northern Delaware drivers scare me more than Jersey drivers. I road ride in Maryland, Jersey or Pennsy.

There's a monday night ride that starts behind the Wilmington Courtyard Inn. They roll around 6pm and they ride pretty religiously every week. If you show up, expect a lot of dry humor, bring your tough skin(and/or body armor) and expect to be shunned if you don't bring some good post ride brews.

Ride with people that know the park... It's good when you're with somebody that knows how to string together a loop whereas whenver I try to ride it myself, it sucks.
