Black Bear Century 10/16/10

I actually have this Sunday off from soccer coaching, I would have done this had I known sooner. Damn. I will contact them to see about registering late since registration closed already.

Yeah this is a quiet weekend for me too, wish I would have known about this also🙁

The views were great, the rest stop were stocked perfectly with more than just PBJ and Cookies. They had pastries, coffee, fruits and even pies!

I honestly was pushing my limits with all these climbs and the 22-24mph headwind always seemed to pick up when I would lead a group... just my luck. I at some points the wind would stop me dead in my tracks on a climb and i would unclip and have a hard time clipping back in. I wasn't used to my new Look pedals and cleats yet.

Temps were int he 40's with a horrible wind chill to boot. Especially at the top of high point. Pictures to come in my blog!

The climbs were extremely rewarding with great descents, even topped out at 50mph on a downhill, complete aero position. Scariest part is when the wind crossed me and almost pushed me over on the downhill.

Here are my numbers... i think they're horrible but i'm just happy i finished it 15 minutes behind the stronger group i started off with even though one of the signs misled me onto route 80 at the end lol.
