I just ordered a year of Bike for only $6.97 at magazine.com with coupon code, still waiting for first issue. Most people complain MBA has too many ads, but I love ads, the more the better.

Bike magazine is poorly written. Check out the letters to the editor in any given month (along with the obnoxious responses) for a preview of what I mean. Or you can waste your time reading every bit of text that passes under your nose, no matter its quality.

Dirt Rag in my opinion is the very best magazine to subscribe to for mtn biking. Its core is east coast riding. Bike Magazine has nice pictures of west coast rides, has some decent articles but DR is more of a micro brew/mtnbike Tribe mag. Also posts nice Mtn bike events monthly, festivals, beer reviews, etc. MBA is technical but how many times can they possibly review a Specialized bike or Trek in that magazine?! Seriously, take a look at any issue and how many times are they reviewing these bikes. "The very new Specialized 29'r with titanium brakes and carbon frames!" Yawn. You rarely see anything else. I'm convinced Specialized and Trek donate heavily to them which is why. Bicycling Mag I actually just cancelled. Mtn Bike Mag was decent but you only get a couple of issues worth and I dont read road riding articles. Could honestly care less how many riders on the Tour are doping anymore. Stupid. Yawn.
