Is this part of your new training? 😉

Try Terapin. And check the what are you drinking now thread for ideas.

You're naming breweries... beer types would yield more specific results. based on your "liked" breweries, I'd suggest in no particular order: Lagunitas, Green Flash, Victory, Trout River (though only in VT), Bells, Terrapin, Rogue, Stone, Deschutes, Avery, Bear Republic.

That should get you started. 🙂

I would suggest Victory Golden Monkey: (stupid as hell name)

"Strong and sensual, this golden, Belgian-style ale glows. The richness of German malts and Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling approach and overall light body. Abundant herbal, fruity notes make this one to savor."

Plus its 9.5% abv so you only really need like three to see the floor up real close.

I'm excited to try some of those. My tastes are very broad right now, hence just listing my favorite brewers. I'd like to find out what I specifically like as far as taste is concerned. 🙂. And my new training program has room for a beer or two. 😛

The waitresses have gone downhill at brick house tavern. Lots of chubbies now. Lots of bar fights, too.

I like girls with a bit of meat on their bones so that wouldn't kill it for me, but +1 for tons of fights. I see the cops there when I leave work a lot.

if you want to try multiple different types of beers without wasting cash on six packs you end up of hating, I'd suggest...

(1) go to a bar with a really good selection of real beer. preferably a place with a good selection of tap. and sample different types.

(2) some brew pubs offer samplers - basically "sample shots" of like 6-8 of their beers. the glass is just big enough to let you knwo whether you might like the beer.

(3) some liquor stores offer "pick 6" - where you pick your own six packs - ie., a six pack of six different beers. GREAT way to sample new beers in the privacy of your own home w/o wasting $ on a whole six pack.

The Office in Bridgewater has a decent selection of beer on tap. On Wednesdays the Happy Hour Pricing is all night $3

More information on the tilted kilt pub in hoboken (my current hometown)

The area where it will open is a dump. There is nothing over there.

To the original poster, there are so many good micros out there it's hard to list all of them. If you are looking for local bottles you could dabble in flying fish, cricket hill, river horse (depending on the beer, some of their stuff stinks) high point (i think they bottle) and NJ Beer Company (bottling line is down so it might be hard to come by). Other good jersey breweries are Triumph, Kroegh's and Tun's Tavern. Plenty others but i don't feel like looking them up.

Had this before bed last nite. Very grapefruity with a bit of sediment (which I'm not used to really) floating about. A tasty beer, but not something I'd have more than one of in a sitting.

I like this place a lot. Good beer selection, and good food for a bar. I am almost positive that they are opening a Buffalo Wild Wings soon on Tr 22 where the Longhorn used to be. That may become my go to place. at least for football and MMA...
