Allaire Conditions

again the trails are in prime condition please do not reopen any closed sections of trail...

Went to Six Mile yesterday morning (9:15 am) and left shortly after the twisties (from 27) due to the poor / wet conditions. Not Fun.
All was not lost, however, as I went to Allaire in the late afternoon (3:15) where the conditions were absolutely perfect. I didn't have one drop of mud or water on me and I went to a number of different sections of the park (not Tiger Woods though). Fun.

Did it rain at Allaire last night? I was kind of surprised to see rain in Brick last night. I guess I missed that part of the forecast.

Conditions

The conditions at Allaire were again very good. There were a few wet spots but most of the park was just perfect. I'm impressed it was so good after the deluge this past week.

We stayed away from TW and the River trail; but by 2pm it was pretty firm everywhere. A couple of wet spots but nothing to shy away from. I'm sure the parking lot Sunday will be packed 😛

thanks for the updates had a great ride at allaire (wasn't going to go because of all the rain)I think the 7th Calvary had maneuvers never saw so many horses.I was dressed plenty warm but the angle of the sun is blinding at times.I wear a transition lens but they are not doing the trick.Go Giants! 8 pm games suck

conditions were good today there were some frozen ruts but all in all the trails were good.BTW let me throw this out there if you are in a group and are the last rider or the tail please let the person that has stopped to let your group ride through know that...soap box mode off...

Will conditions be ok tomorrow morning?

It doesn't matter, the lot will be packed because Allaire drains well.🙄

edit: Hopefully the wind will pick up and dry it out, we had a good amount of rain last night. Please remember that it dries slower this time of year.

I went over yesterday afternoon to see what conditions were like. There are a lot of ruts forming which I guess is the lesser of two evils...one a lot of ruts or two trail widening. It is better to ride thru the puddle than around it. It hasn't been cold enough to freeze so the trails are gonna be soft until it does. After last night it will definetly be slick xmas eve. It poured down here and there was a lot of standing water on my street. But as Frank said it will be packed tommorow regardless and I can understand people wanting to ride on the holiday weekend. I just hope that some of them recognize the damaged that is caused by riding in these conditions and show up to Trail Maintenance in the Spring to help keep Allaire alive and healthy.

The first TM next year will probably focus on repairing the ruts by raising the tread and rebuilding the drainage.

it all depends on Friday I was hoping that the sun would come out today and start the drying process good thing it it is supposed to be breezy which will help if we get some sun with the breeze.I have the day off if I get over to check I will post conditions up.

I told myself 8am is too early last time but Saturday's are really easy at work...like I do nothing easy so I can get up a bit early and be fine

Just getting back from allaire conditions are fine dried up really well a couple of slick spots but by sat morn will be fine. Didnt ride tiger or river thought i would give it the extra day. 🙂
