NYARA is a local AR association..they run some great races, and they have a schedule that shows races in the surrounding area. there are more out there however.

But the adventure racing that NYARA and the like put on arent really the same as the "tough mudder" type of adventure racing.

I did the Warrior Dash last Sept, it was a mini TM. Next year if timing is good I'll do the mudder.

Just google Warrior Dash for their info. But like ax said NYARA is the best resource, though some of their listings have been cancelled.

BTW how was the Mudder? WD was probably the most fun I had hurting myself

The mudder was sick, We did it on saturday. Its was a total of 12.09 miles freezing wet cold and muddy. Everyone one who did one before said by far that was the best toughest course they have ever done. Jumping 15 ft inot 40 degree water was nuts. it took us a toalt of 3hrs 40 minutes to complete, we started as a team and finished as a team.

Mudder sounds pretty sweet; that might be the next thing on my list. I've done a handful of GOALS AR races and might try a NYARA this coming year to see how they compare.

The GOALS races might be a bit far for you though. Usually Brandywine area.

I, also, did the TM last Saturday with a team of 10. Overall it was a blast and I can see how these types of events can be addicting.
Next local TM is April in PA then in May up at Mt Snow Vt.

The NJ Trail Seried Muddy Marathon is a great race, you have some options on different mileage to run as well. It will kick your butt for sure, all natural obstacles, with plenty of mud. Only a very small percentage of those that start the race finish, it is a great challenge. I ran the half last year, missed the cut-off on the second loop by about 2 minutes.

The tough mudder was sick this year, i ran it saturday at raceway park at 10:40 am and it took me and my team 3 hr 30 min
