2010 Downhill US Open at Diablo

We have a bunch of guys going up. First time for a few years that only one person is racing though. Yell a bunch of profanities at the guy in the giant/hayes orange yellow and red kit with the rainbow explosion '10 glory if you see him.

I'll just yell at all of them to make sure I don't miss him.

Taking both kids out there on Sunday. Mom gets the day off, I earn a full day to ride the next day... win-win.

This is a great race to take the kids, we sat thourgh the downpour just before the pro finals and watched them fly down the rock garden like it was bone dry. Sam Hill ripped it last year, does make me miss racing DH...

The rain last year sucked ass...my kid was so cold.
I told him about this weekend and he said to me "I dont want to go, its too cold"...😡 so I promised him it wouldn't rain.
Im still trying to figure out my weekend, but probably be there Sat.

first time been in DH competition ....

great weather and cool atmosphere ...

The key for this type of shot is to move your camera in a horizontal direction with the subject. Technique is called panning. The photo will look like the subject is stationary while the background is moving (motion blur). And use your flash (until they yell at you) .. the flash will freeze the subject. Works with point and shoot:

RyGanley, That second pic of the guy on the Trek was sick. He sure took a beating and knocked a pole over, but ended up riding to the finish.
