    nice lite workout and quiet back there too. I usually park in the Tempe Wick road dirt parking lot up on the fire road. Afterwards, I head over to MGTC for some clay court doubles and a cocktail. Makes for a nice combo.

    it is particularly bad right now. once the weather breaks it will be better. But I go big on the Deet anyway. Also, because of the mild winter and warm spring it is an unusually big tick season. hope for a cold and dry winter to cull the insect population for next summer.

    Not THAT bad. and I think we all concur with your assessment. I do trail maintenance for the NYNJTC on the HB trail so I am always checking out the side trails out of curiosity on top of the ridge. Some lead right to the JH fence line.

    that pipeline looks very nice looking up from Burnt Meadow Road. Too bad only ATVs use is conveniently ignored and dig up Long Pond Iron works state park at will, while bikes are not allowed, since there are tons of unmarked trails over there criss-crossing the ridge line.
